Ana Bikic has been an active advocate for the environment using her artistic talents to further awareness for many years in South Florida. Professionally trained in the fine arts in Argentina and Europe , Ana challenges medium and technique in acrylic that few fine artists can achieve with brushwork only. Translating glaze formulars from oil to acrylic. Using collage handmade paper, water color and carved block printing, traditional techniques present new approaches . Ecosymbolism Art ,writen by the artist,is a call to fully understand our heritage as studied fine artists,to express with humanity's symbols an iconography of hope, positivism and inspiration for noble solutions.

The EcoSymbolism Art web site that Ana created in 2006 has drawn the attention of the International Print Society and the Vienna Art publishers.

Ana will be exhibiting at the Books and Books Gallery in Feb.1/ to Mar.2 2008 in Coral Gables , where she will Celebrate "' The International Year of the Reef 2008'' with her astonishing canvases of South Florida's marine life.

The International Society for Coral Reef Studies 35th edition ,Nov. 07 features one of Ana's Paintings poly block prints as front cover image.

Ana believes that art should inspire us to protect our natural world. That the language of visual symbols are a responsibility as well as a tool to educate and inspire values .
